from 6 reviewsAmazing Brush. I love this brush
checking it on my leather
These things work extremely well for leather dye. They’re small, so I use rubber gloves while applying dye coats
Why did I only give this 4 stars? Well, the color is more coppery orange than rose gold imho. And results are hit or miss depending on what your starting with. I have done three pairs of shoes. One was turning hot pink into rose gold on untreated leather - thumbs up and turned my girly shoes into a more elegant color with just two coats. Another pair was originally a metallic bronze in which I added just one coat. The bronze to rose gold transformation was stunning!! The third pair I have photographed here...and ugh, the results were horrible! The shoe on the left has two rose gold coatings over white leather and it was really streaky and terrible coverage. So what I did was pick up another Angelus paint in Salmon color which you can see on the shoe on the right. The salmon covered up the shoe really well. In the photo you can also see a leather bracelet that was also originally white with two layers of salmon coatings and two layers of rose gold...and voila! Finally, the results I was looking for. So, my recommendation is to use a base color first if the original item Is not already close to a rose color for better application and results. Also, the final color is a little too peachy for me, so I think I'm going to try to use Angelus in Mauve as a base coat on my next project and see if I can make it more pink and less orange.
